RYA Level 1 & 2 Sailing
Learning to sail for the first time is great fun and an opportunity for you to learn a new skill. The sense of achievement you'll feel when you've mastered the basics and sail on your own for first time will be a lasting memory!
On this course you get the chance to try different types of dinghy including single & double handed.
Days 1 & 2 (Level 1) Designed for the absolute beginner. Discover how much fun sailing can be. Aims to provide a safe and fun environment to build sailing confidence and introduce the concepts of steering, tacking and gybing.
Days 3 & 4 (Level 2) Aims to improve confidence on all points of sail for RYA Level 2, methods of launch and recovery and how to rig the boat. On completion, students should demonstrate a basic competency of sailing in light winds.

Minimum of 2 participants will be required for each course. You can choose between all or part of the different Level 1 and Level 2 courses, subject to availability.
Additional courses can be booked upon request.
Age Limits - young people under 16 years should be accompanied by a responsible adult (over 18 years). The minimum age for attending courses is 12 years.

All courses are subject to sufficient numbers and suitable weather conditions and are non-residential. Non-refundable deposits are required at time of booking and the full amount is payable before the start of the course.
