RYA Safety Boat

For sailing clubs and teaching establishments, this course is designed to introduce the techniques used in powerboats to provide safety cover or assist with race management.
 
During the 2 days, sessions covering boat handling techniques will be combined with practical instruction in recovering and towing capsized dinghies and cats, windsurfers and disabled powerboats.
 
Shore-based sessions will include the suitability of craft, safety, communications systems and also rescuing other water-users.
 
Pre-course experience: you must already hold the National Powerboat Certificate (Level 2)

9th & 10th October
 
Costs:
£200.00 per person 
 
A minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 participants.
 
Additional courses can be booked upon request.

 
 
COURSES
 
Windsurfing:
We offer a range of windsurfing courses to suit beginners and experienced sailors alike. Plus RYA Start Windsurfing Instructor Course.

Sailing:
Our RYA sailing courses cover theory and practical to get you on the water in next to no time. Plus RYA Dinghy Instructor Course.

Canoeing/Kayaking:
We offer paddling in kayaks, sit-on-tops and open canoes for beginners, intermediate and with BCU/ UKCC accredited training. NEW this year BCU 2 star training & assessment courses.

Powerboat:
Learn to drive a powerboat or safety boat and use a VHF radio in the appropriate manner.

Groups:
Find out about our experience days and activities for schools and youth groups.

Kids/Parties/Family:
Want to have a go at canoeing, kayaking, sailing, raft building or windsurfing.  Choose from our Junior Academy, Holiday Programme,  Party with a "Splash" or events for the whole family.
