RYA Level 3 - Better Sailing *NEW COURSE* This improvers course seeks to bridge the gap between Basic Skills (L2) and the five advanced modules and is intended to make the transition easier for those sailors wishing to progress through the scheme, allowing them opportunity to practice and develop their techniques and skills and also have a taster of what some of the advanced modules have to offer. This will help you build confidence, support progression and enable greater success and achievement of the advanced module outcomes.

8th & 9th April 26th & 27th June 25th & 26th September Cost: £140.00 - a minimum of 2 participants will be required for this course RYA Seamanship Skills
 How to handle the boat in all circumstances and solve problems afloat. 2010 dates: 22nd & 23rd May 2010 Cost: £140.00 A minimum of 2 participants will be required for this course. Pre-course experience: sailing & background knowledge to the standard of the Level 2 course.
RYA Sailing with Spinnakers How to rig the boat, gybe and recover one type of spinnaker, either conventional or asymmetric. How to sail the best possible course downwind.
Course dates: 6th & 7th November 2010
Cost: £140.00 Pre-course experience: sailing & background knowledge to the standard of the Level 2 course. A minimum of 2 participants will be required for this course
RYA Dinghy Instructor Course plus pre-entry assessment Our 5-day Dinghy Instructor course teaches you the RYA method, the structure of the RYA and how to teach sailing. The course is run by an RYA Coach Assessor and is moderated on the last day by a second RYA Coach Assessor
Pre-entry assessment: 2nd & 3rd October 2010 - £75.00 Instructor course: 25th - 29th October 2010 - £250.00
Pre-course experience: minimum age 16, First Aid certificate, Powerboat Level 2 and pre-entry sailing assessment completed within 1 year prior to the instructor training course.
Please be aware that we will not allow you to join the Instructor Course if you do not pass the pre-entry assessment.
RYA VHF/SRC Radio - Short Range Certificate The one-day course will equip you for all situations including the use of the latest Digital Selective Calling (DSC) radio equipment. You will use the latest Icom and Simrad live VHF radio voice training equipment giving you the benefit of hands-on tuition. We offer a high-quality friendly course using the best of equipment. Candidates receive 6 hours tuition as recommended by the RYA and the opportunity to practice radio procedures and techniques.
Course dates: (1 day) 7th February, 4th July & 7th November 2010 Cost: £110.00 plus RYA exam fee
Pre-course experience: participants must know the phonetic alphabet, bring one passport photograph and a cheque for the RYA fee.
