Windsurfing Courses

Improvers & RYA Intermediate (non-planing)
Approximately 20 hours of sailing experience after the RYA Start Windsurfing is the time to move on. Here we introduce you to the beach start, harness technique, improved tacking and gybing with the emphasis on individual coaching.

RYA Start Windsurfing Instructor Course
This course is the first step on to the windsurfing instructor ladder. During the week you will be introduced to teaching with dry land simulators, instructing the basics afloat, on-the-water safety and group control and shore-based activities will include how to run simple theory sessions, the organisation of the windsurfing scheme and sessions on weather, tides, safety and equipment.

RYA Start Windsurfing instructors are qualified to teach the Start Windsurfing course and Stages 1 and 2 of the Youth Windsurfing Scheme under the supervision of a senior instructor.

 

Pre-course experience: minimum age 16, First Aid certificate, Powerboat Level 2 and Intermediate Non-Planing certificate.

 

Course dates: 12th -16th April 2010

Cost: £250.00 per person (non-residential)
