Welcome to Edgbaston Watersports

Edgbaston Watersports has offered water-based activities at Edgbaston Reservoir since the early 1980s. Early in 2007, Edgbaston Watersports was taken over by Martin and Jacqui Dutton and is now part of Bear Creek Adventure Ltd. The team here at Bear Creek Adventure Ltd have worked hard to modernise and expand Edgbaston Watersports and are pleased to be able to offer high quality water-based activities including sailing, windsurfing, raft building, canoeing, kayaking and powerboating. All safety equipment is provided by Edgbaston Watersports and is regularly checked to ensure a high standard of safety.

The reservoir is located on the western side of Birmingham city centre, and is therefore easily accessible from all areas within the city and the wider area. The reservoir itself is a large expanse of water which was designed by Sir Thomas Telford to provide water for Birmingham’s canal system.

We are proud to announce that Bear Creek Adventure and Edgbaston Watersports have been awarded the LOtC (Learning Outside the Classroom) Quality Badge, for Adventurous Activities. We were the first outdoor adventure centre in the West Midlands to be awarded this prestigious award.
